Thanks Miriamnae. I "cross-posted" this piece from a few weeks after Oct.7, with a short introduction that I now know is only seen by subscribers who read the piece in the email. I am embarrassed to admit that when I reviewed the piece I thought to myself: "I got most of it right," and republished it with a sense of: "Isn't this interesting? You, my reader, might think so too," and not with a sense of: "I told you so!" Still, I can say: Isn't this interesting?"
I don't know David. I think that the phrase "two state solution" has a certain utility. Whoever touts this "solution" is identifying himself as supporting the continuing existence of a festering, Jew-hating and Jew murdering entity umbilically attached to the Jewish state. In other words, an enemy of Israel. It is good when all this is out in the open.
France has offered asylum for the residents of Gaza. Israel could settle (in Gaza) the French Jews who will soon have no choice but to leave. A great trade. Israel must never let go of the strip. You paid for it with the blood of your brave IDF soldiers and innocent civilians. It has become sacred ground. Make it flourish in the name of those who gave their last full measure.
Actually, France hasn't offered asylum to Gazans. They merely offered to entertain asylum requests. Macron knows he would be committing political suicide by facilitating more mass Muslim immigration.
Despite the outward professions of sympathy, the Muslim world hates and distrust Palestinians. No Muslim majority country would take them to spare their women and children the consequences of a war they started. Palestinians have merely one function in the Islamic world:: to be a thorn in the side of Israel. That's it. Nothing more.
I know. That's the real tragedy. Or: the real tragedy is that for so long Israelis convinced themselves that they have no choice but to endure the thorn.
That was prophetic. Most of the hypothetical outcomes have taken place now. Brilliant piece.

‘Interesting’ is short. You may be humble, HaShem honors that, but as I read, I was amazed at how it all unfolded as you saw it. Awesome.
Yet the World still cries "Two State Solution!"
Palestinianism is a disease more toxic than cancer, more contagious than Covid. It seeps into the Western brain and disables basic logical functions.
Jews have won a quarter of all Nobel prizes in medicine and still can't come up with a cure for this one.

Includes many mainstream American Jewish organizations.
Maintaining one's standing in the Democratic progressive firmament is more important than maintaing a secureJewish state.

I like this idea. Though those French Jews should be informed ahead of time that they would have me as a neighbor. Some might balk at that.🙂
