I'm a big fan of Hornik. As a matter of fact, I have quit my daily search through opinion pieces since he has been commenting, and catch up by reading him. He has written novels and short stories and has recently published a memoir. This new role he has assumed, commenting on reality in Israel, demonstrates that he is a highly versatile and interesting writer.
I'm not a big fan...of any of them. The government, the opposition, the courts, the military, intelligence. A thousand pools of blood are calling out in a language that no-one in power understands. Lapid, in particular, is a lightweight. He writes beautifully, but the message in his writing is invariably dull, as is he. There is real leadership material in Israel. Unfortunately, it is below the surface, unseen and unheard. I think that is true of the US too. Appreciate the comment, David. I value the traditional liberal that I sense in you. If we survive, I think that we will survive as liberals. Interestingly, I have been reading some self-professed progressives who vehemently stand against Antisemitism. That's an eye-opener for me. Otherwise, for now, we are at war. Politics is put aside.
I am simply astonished at how the dots are being joined here. My reality is completely different. I see Islamophobia everywhere. I certainly do not see jihadist or anti semites where I live. Please tell me which part of the planet they are living in
Antisemitism is hatred of Jews because they are Jews. By Uber-Antisemite I meant the Antisemite "behind the curtain," out of reach, possessing deniability, financing and controlling the masses of Antisemites. I was thinking of powerful individuals, or groups, not of a specific definition of Uber-Antisemitism, though now that you mention it, you have given me food for thought.
I just want to say that most Americans truly Stand with Israel. These kids on campuses into this ‘woke’ agenda garbage are PAID by billionaires to riot by the illegitimate puppet placed as a face for those working behind it all.
We believe in National Sovereignty and believe ALL nations deserve that right. Our illegitimate Puppet Prez in the WH was ‘installed’ - thereby enacting the true ‘insurrection’ of our nation. The people of our nation are doing what we can to finance aid and assist Israel, and especially with prayer.

I call it The Islamic Masse und Macht - Elias Canetti. Totally agree - it does not bode well for the future and it has been a long time coming.
